♥ No Refund Policy: Once a service has been booked, the work begins for our staff and vendors. If you choose to cancel, there will be no refunds as we have paid our staff and vendors for services rendered. So please, do not ask. If you need to reschedule, we can assist with this. All Fees paid are NON-Refundable. Services can be rescheduled or transferred for up to 90 days if needed. Just remember "No Means No".
♥ Right to Refuse Policy: Part of offering the highest quality of service depends on communication with YOU as the client. If at any time we are mistreated in a negative manner by a client, we do have the right to refuse services. Refunds will not be offered as again; the work has been started or already done. We will do everything we possibly can to work with you, and all we ask in return is that you communicate with us so we can both make this day wonderful for you. Again, if at any time you are not fully satisfied, we simply ask that you communicate with us so we can rectify that situation and move forward. Our goal is to exceed your expectations! *GOLDEN RULE! Treat others the way you want to be Treated*
♥ Rebuild Fees: Venues take time to build and our team of builders are paid. If for any reason you need to postpone, please! please notify us prior to set up. Which the time frame is USUALLY a week or two before your scheduled Wedding Rehearsal with your Coordinator. Otherwise, you will be responsible for a 3K Rebuild Fee. We are very flexible with you on when we place your venue. So, this should never be an issue.
♥ Payment Policy: ALL payments must be made to Palais Doré Weddings to reserve and are NON-Refundable. Services can be rescheduled or transferred for up to 90 days if needed. ALL Payments must be paid at the ATM in our main office or directly to Nova Fae. Under any circumstances does a payment go to any other avatar or Vendor that is NOT stated up above. In doing so, it will result to your money being lost.
♥ Staff Changes: At times we will need to make changes to your wedding team. Real life always comes first, we may need to make some staff changes. We have one of the best communication setups on the grid and changing staff is able to be done so flawlessly that it will not even affect you. You will still get the same service either way, and be updated on every single change! Unless Second life says otherwise.
♥ Location Changes: At times we may need to make changes to the locations. While this is a very rare occurrence, in the event this does take place, you will be provided with an updated invitation including the new landmark. Reasons for this change may be due to us requiring more land impact, larger land, and/or sim issues. Please keep in mind this is done for YOU. If we have to make a move, we do this with the best intentions for you and you guests. This may include a better venue, more detailed, and less lag. Again, this is something that should hardly affect your special day, but you will need to pass out the updated invitations. Invitations are expected to be passed out at least 5-7 days prior to the date.
♥ Lag, Disconnect, and Late Start Policy: We understand that things come up and at times weddings will start late. If your wedding is delayed by 30 minutes at start time due to anything out of our control, we must evaluate at that point. If we can delay staff, we will obviously offer to do so. If we are unable to, due to interference with another wedding we will have no choice but to reschedule. In the event there is a late start due to you or anyone in your party and you ask us to delay beyond those 30 minutes there will be a Staff Retention Fee of 1k Per Staff Member assigned to your event, and for additional 30 minutes delayed. Again, this is ONLY due to a late start of 30 minutes or anything beyond our control and will be YOUR choice.
♥ Griefing Policy: Griefing is SIMPLY NOT tolerated, and we will NOT get involved in any personal situations between the two parties. Refunds will NOT be offered due to these attacks. Please let the Owner or your Coordinator know ahead of time in case things like this may happen, we'll try to work with YOU as the Client to prevent this situation from occurring on our establishment and assure that your event or wedding will proceed according to plan.
♥ Photography/Videography Policy: Any photo/video taken by our staff may be used on our website, social media, Flickr, or in our office to help inspire other couples and show off our happy couples. These photos/videos are the property of Palais Doré Weddings & Events and copies are sold to you, the client. Please understand that under NO circumstances does anyone have the right to state their photos/video may not be shown. Let's face it, no one in SL is a celebrity and even if it was a celebrity behind the avatar, it’s an avatar. The videos are ultimately the property of the company and can/will be used. Furthermore:
1. A License to Capture. You may take snapshots and capture machinima of the 3D content we created that is displayed in-world.
2. A License to Use. You may use the resulting snapshot or machinima within or outside of Second Life in any current or future media.
** As we all know, Lag happens and while Palais Doré goes above and beyond to reduce any lag, we can never promise a no lag experience as this is a Virtual world and NOT RL. If you're experiencing lag after our extensive measures to remove as much lag as possible, it may be your guests overloading on scripted items, your internet provides, or ultimately, your laptop/PC build. Which we have no control after that point. With time comes experience and knowledge; going off of this, we allow our venues to be up for a certain amount of time. We only allot a certain amount of time to start constructing another wedding venue. If for any reason your photographer is unable to capture certain shots at your event, they will discuss and plan a day to do this with you in your venue. This is actually a great experience, and your photos will come out fantastic! If you are interested in doing shots like this instead of during your reception time AND you have more than 10 shots, please speak with your photographer in advance.
♥ Photo/Video Procedures: Our policy is to allow our Photographers to take ONE group shot immediately following your ceremony. This way we can quickly begin your reception and you do not lose guests due to waiting. All other shots are done during the reception. If you prefer to not be pulled away at that time for photos, a reshoot can be scheduled. IF the photographer or videographer is experiencing lag issues, we must do reschedules for Photo and Video as to prevent the diminishing quality of your photos and videos. We want to give you the best product possible. This is very common for large, crowded weddings or people who want to be decked out in LAGGY things such as for examples, that I’ve noticed in my time in the wedding business:
1.Adult Mesh Parts *I'm Sorry, but you don't need them at your wedding or your friend’s wedding!*
2.Spankers, Kissers, Tummy Talkers *I'm sorry but these things are script heavy and cause LAG*
♥ Custom Work: When you purchase a service, we have our venues and items listed on our website for you to choose from. Included in the cost of your service are color changes. In some cases, there may be letters to change (on cakes) or wording (on signs). However, anything beyond this is considered custom work and will need to be discussed and agreed upon during the booking process and/or with the Items maker. There WILL be an additional fee for any items or venues that become custom, and it is all based on availability. If you are not thrilled with the colors of your venue, cake, etc. We will gladly make 1 change for you. Remember, YOU will be providing us with the color scheme of your choosing, and they will be reconfirmed with you by your coordinator during your consultation or personally by our Item Maker. Please keep in mind, we have cut back on weddings due to RL, we may not have much, if any time for custom work. Please discuss this with us prior to purchasing.
♥ Copying our products: We have taken the time, planning and money to create beautiful venues and products to provide couples the best experience possible. If you need an addition to your venue built, please ask. Under no circumstances will any copying of our venues and products be TOLERATED. We cannot stress this enough. This is a Zero Tolerance policy and by doing so, your wedding/event could be subject to immediate cancellation with no refunds.
♥ Friend Requests: As silly as this seems to list it, we are listing it so there is no confusion. Over the past years I have been teleported to a club naked, teleported out of a bridal consultation, a rehearsal, even a wedding. When you book a wedding in RL, you get a business card. You do not get the person's personal digits. Please respect this and know that we are ALWAYS just a message away if you need us. We respond within 24-48 hrs, if not immediately. We NO longer add clients to our friend list.
♥ After Hours: Our normal office hours are 10am to 7pm SLT. These are the same hours we schedule weddings. If these hours do not work for you, we can of course discuss another time. We always try to be as giving as possible and we will work with you to the best of our ability. If you have requested a time outside of our normal hours, we will first verify that we can provide staff and then we will discuss if the After-Hours fee needs to be charged. This is a flat 5K fee and is given to the staff for logging in and working during off hours. Again, we always try to work with you the best we can, and we will discuss this before booking.

Again, there are no Refunds on any Services. Everything IS Transferable.
